Burger Roland Gymnasium’s Find a Career Day at the FVST
Will I find the career of my dreams here?
Searching for the right study program? (Photo: M. Leine)
On four days in November, the 10th graders from the Burger Roland Gymnasium, totaling over 100 pupils, visited the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering in Magdeburg. Topic of the day: Career!
There was much to marvel at! All kinds of things were up for discovery while peeking into the labs, visiting Jun.-Prof. Herz's rotary kilns, receiving information from Jun.-Prof. Bück on fluidized beds or from Dr. Voigt on membrane electrolysers.
They received a special impression of applied science and technology by visiting the MPI labs and Prof. Seidel-Morgenstern's crystallizers. This was complemented by important tips from the OVGU's academic advising on selecting a future study program.
Perhaps the right study program was found while looking through the microscope? Who knows?! But we will hopefully see the students again, because the FVST expects all the curious minds to attend CampusDay and the Long Night of Sciences on 20 May 2017!
